Description
Hand-woven cotton singles; warp ends unfinished. Long rectangular warp ikat shoulder cloth woven in two sections and hand sewn together at one selvedge. Bands of animal and bird motifs arranged symmetrically around a central band. Imagery includes squid rows separated by tree forms, opposed quadrupeds, naga figures, and patola ratu variations. Cream and orange-brown with blue accents on purple/black ground
