| Description | Home grown and handspun cotton, dyed with vegetable pigments: indigo (blue/black), morinda citrifolia (red), turmeric (yellow). Warp-faced ikat construction in two mirrored sections joined at one selvedge. Features solid blue stripes, a central ikat stripe with undyed warp ends on a red ground. The motif 'kumeda' translates to 'commander'. A narrow black-white pattern called 'raja bunga' created through floating warp appears three times per section |
