Description
Cotton. Long rectangular warp ikat shoulder cloth woven in two sections and hand sewn together at one selvedge. Patterning consists of bands of animal and bird motifs including giant squid and skull trees, all placed as symmetrically opposed pairs. Motifs are predominantly cream and brown (with some blue) on a purple/black ground
